At Splash Tours Liverpool we aim to accommodate as much as we can and to make every guest feel welcome and included.
Getting Here
Our departure point is located at the Royal Albert Dock, Liverpool’s flagship visitor destination. The Dock itself is pedestrian friendly and level, with wide walkways and step free access throughout. There are several Blue Badge parking bays available at the Dock car park, less than a five-minute walk from our bus stop. Liverpool ONE Bus Station and James Street train station are both within a ten-minute walk, with level access routes to the Dock.
Boarding the Vehicle
For safety and evacuation reasons, all passengers must be able to climb a short set of steps to board unaided by carers or anyone else. While we cannot yet take wheelchairs on board, we are working with our sister business Seahorse Amphibious to make disabled access a reality in the future.

Due to the nature of the vehicle all passengers must be able to climb the steps to board. For safety and evacuation reasons, this must be done unaided by carers. We are working with our sister business Seahorse Amphibious to make disabled access a possibility in the future.
-
We offer one free ticket for a carer or essential companion supporting a disabled passenger.
Please email [email protected], preferably at least 48 hours before the tour, with:- Your preferred tour date and time

At Splash Tours Liverpool, we welcome everyone onboard and have undergone training as a team to ensure we are competent for SEN needs. We also have a duty of care to everyone onboard, and safety is paramount to us.
Please note all passengers will need to remain seated, with hands and arms inside the vehicle at all times. This is for the safety of all passengers and is non-negotiable. If any passenger is unable to abide by this rule, they will unfortunately be asked to disembark as soon as the driver is able to pull over. We ask you to consider this carefully before booking.
We recommend carers sit in the window seat, and SEN passengers sit in the isle if this is something you perceive relevant.
-
Very well-behaved dogs can come on our tours at the discretion of the skipper.
-
If you miss your tour we will try, but NOT guarantee to get you on the last tour we are running that day. Tickets for the tour are non-refundable and may only be changed 48-hours prior to your departure.
-
All of our tours have a live guide to ensure the tour is fun and informative! Listen carefully for some interesting facts about Liverpool and the sights (we reserve the right to make up answers to anything we don’t know about!).

VEHICLES AND SAFETY
-
In short yes. Very. We use purpose built vehicles circa 2018 NOT 1940’s WW2 vehicles that you may have seen in the media. Please see our safety page for more information.
-
All our vehicles have to meet the (MCA) Maritime and Coast Guard Regulations (MSN 1823) set out in 2018, when on the water and have a passenger certificate. On the road, they are governed by VOSA, just like a Bus.
-
On the road, our driver/skipper needs a Bus/Coach license Cat- D. On the water our skipper needs a Boatman’s License issued by the MCA. This license involves a high degree of skill to pass and includes a 3-day Fire Fighting Course, First Aid, Sea Survival, and Medical.
WEATHER
-
Dress for the weather conditions for the day and you can’t go far wrong. It can be cooler on the water section of the tour so a jumper is a good idea if you feel the cold. As always, layers are always a safe bet!
-
Short answer… no. Our entry into the water does not cause any water to splash into the vessel.
-
It is extremely unlikely tours will be cancelled due to adverse weather conditions. If this happens, we will contact any customers effected.
